The Junior Honours Reading Party is held at The Burn near Edzell. This is a large old house in beautiful surroundings, with a bar, games room, tennis courts, croquet lawn, etc.
The main purpose is to allow students to practise giving (non-assessed) presentations in a very informal setting - useful practice for the various assessed presentations given during honours. There are also opportunities for outdoor activities, eating and drinking, general discussion, and feedback to staff on likes and dislikes about the School.
The reading party would usually take place during Independent Learning Week. This will not be possible this year due to COVID. We hope that we may be Abel to reschedule the event during semester 2. Exact dates for this year are yet to be announced.
See here for contact details of the organiser.
