Aims
The aims of this module are:
- To give an understanding of search trees, heuristics, empirical methods and applications of AI.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module, the student should:
- To be able to construct informed search methods for a variety of applications.
- To be able to justify and evaluate design decisions such as heuristics and search order.
Syllabus
Philosophy of AI; search; games; reasoning about uncertainty; introduction to machine learning.
