Overview

The following project/dissertation modules are available.

Junior Honours Project:

CS3099 Software Team Project

See guidance for Software Team Project.

Final Year Projects:

CS4098 BSc Senior Honours Individual Project (Joint Honours)
- Minor project (15 credits)
- For joint honours students doing a separate project with each school
- Can be spread over two semesters (more common), or done in a single semester
- Similar to CS4099 with correspondingly smaller scope
CS4099 BSc Senior Honours Individual Project (Single Honours)
- Major project (30 credits)
- Spread over two semesters
CS4796 BSc Senior Honours Individual Joint Project (Joint Honours)
- Joint project (30 credits)
- For joint honours students doing a single project addressing both subjects
- Topic has to be strongly related to both subjects and have a supervisor from each school
- All administration, including setting assessment details, deadlines and marking arrangements, is solely by CS
- Requires formal agreement between schools (Letter of Agreement) signed by both supervisors and DoTs
- Not available to CS & Mathematics/Statistics students, but there are equivalent modules offered by other schools (e.g. MT4796)
CS5199 MSci Individual Project
- Individual masters project (60 credits)
- Taken over one semester (choice of S1 or S2) in the final year.
CS5098 MSc Group Dissertation
- Group project and dissertation in computer science (60 credits)
- Group project carried out over the summer (May-Aug).
- Project work involves collaboration with other students, but dissertation is written individually.
CS5099 MSc Individual Dissertation
- Dissertation in computer science (60 credits)
- Individual project carried out over the summer (May-Aug).
CS5999 MSc Individual Dissertation (Online)
